Friends

The Lie: 

It's okay to have friends, but to need them is bad. You should never need friends.

Why It's A Lie: 

Heavenly Father wants us to turn to Him when we are joyous, depressed, and in between. But He also sent us here to earth where He is not with us, even though His Spirit is within us. He gave us parents, family, and friends so that when troubles and trials come, we can go to others for support, love, and consolation. The only problem comes when we stop relying on God. But when we are faithful in our communication with Him, there is no need for guilt if we also turn to friends. Sometimes telling a friend actually ends up being the answer to pleading prayers to the Father.
